Export Contact

Once you Create contacts, you can export them to a data file so they can be gridded. Click the 3D View | Contacts | Export command to export contact picks from drillhole data or right click any individual contacts listed and select Export Contacts to save a contact to any supported data file format type.

When you export your contacts a Save as window will open.

  • Name your file in the File name field.

  • Select the location you want your file to save to.

  • Select your file type in the Save as type drop down.

  • Click Save

The Export Contacts window will open.

  • Under Select is a list of all available contacts, select which contacts to export.

    • By default, all contacts are selected.

    • Click Deselect all to deselect all.

    • Click Select all to select all from the list.

    • Click Select at the top to sort the contacts alphabetically, descending or ascending.

  • Export the contacts as a single long list, or divided by contact type with the Export each contact to its own set of data columns check box.

    • If checked, then each contact is exported into its own separate columns, each having its own X, Y, Z and Contact name columns. This setting is useful to grid the data, for example to create XYZ surfaces for each contact.

    • If not checked, then all contact points will be exported to the same columns, A-D, containing X, Y, Z and Contact name.
