Snap Definition

Snapping is the attraction of the cursor to a ruler division. When creating new objects or moving or sizing existing objects, snap locks the cursor to the nearest ruler division. The snapping action is turned on or off on the Rulers and Grid page of the Options dialog (File | Options).
