XYZC Grid .DAT File Description

Surfer exports to the XYZC grid file format.

The XYZC file is a simple encoding of 3D points into an ASCII text file. Each line of the file contains four numbers. Each quadruplet of four numbers comprises the X, Y, Z, and C coordinates, respectively, of a point in 3D space.

Import Options Dialog

Surfer does not import the XYZC .DAT grid file. You can open the file using the File | Open in Worksheet command. The file will open in the Surfer worksheet window. No import options dialog is displayed.

No import options are available.

Saving Files

The XYZC .DAT grid file format is available when prompted to save a grid file.
