Color Scale Bar
Color scale bars are legends that show line and fill color information for map layers. Colors may be discrete or continuous, depending on the layer type.
To add or remove a color scale bar:

Select a layer in the Contents window that supports color scales.

Click Home | Add to Map | Color Scale Bar

Click Map Tools | Add to Map | Color Scale Bar

Right-click the layer and select Add to Map | Color Scale Bar.
When active, the command button appears highlighted/depressed. Click the command again to remove the color scale bar.
Supported Layer Types
The Color Scale Bar command is enabled when any of the following supported layers are selected:

Contour layers (discrete)

Color relief layers (continuous)

Vector layers (1-Grid and 2-Grid) (continuous — enabled when Scaling method is not set to Disabled)

Wireframe layers (discrete — enabled when color zones are used for X, Y, or Z)

Surface layers (continuous)

Point cloud layers (continuous — enabled when View by is not set to Classification)
